Over the last five years Johnson has grown:
+73 API points schoolwide, +34 API points for African American students, +79 API points for Hispanic students, +12 API points for White students,+ 42 API points for English learners and +71 API points for Socio-economically disadvantaged students.
Johnson Magnet has been making double digit growth gains over the last five years!

Summer Reading Program at Malcolm X Library
The library's annual Summer Reading Progarm runs from June 15-August 15th! It's important that children continue to read over the summer and the library is offering this great program again this year!!

Johnson Band Performance this Tuesday!
Our wonderful Johnson Band will be performing this Tuesday, May 24th, at the Lincoln High School auditorium. The performance begins at 6 p.m. Our students have been practicing very hard all year for this and would love your support!

Pizza fundraiser May 27th
Good afternoon,
Students may purchase pizza for $2 a slice after the CST Kickoff Assembly on May 27th. The pizza will begin being served at 3:15 and will be sold on a pre-sold basis. If you would like to participate, please return the flier that went home with your child on May 19th filled out completely and with the cash or check made payable to Johnson Magnet School.

Two Johnson students fly to Florida today!
Good morning,
Two of our students Taniya and Lauryn are off to compete at the Student NASA Explorere School Symposium in Florida! Their sponsor Mrs. Matthews and the girls flew out early this morning and we wish them good luck during the competition!
